• Schedule treatment at least 2 weeks before special events
• Avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E, and certain herbal supplements 3–7 days prior
• Do not receive treatment if pregnant, breastfeeding, or with active infection or rash

• Topical numbing is applied for comfort
• Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness is temporary
